Occupational Safety programs address physical work in NC State facilities that requires the interaction of human-machine-environment. Physical safety programs serve to mitigate risk and exposure to unsafe practices and reduce injury.

Radiation Safety

Radiation Safety assists the campus community with radiation related programs. Staff provide training and consultations, conduct routine safety inspections in laboratories, assist researchers with the acquisition and disposal of radioactive materials and radiation-producing devices and maintains radiation emergency response capabilities.

Bio Safety

NC State's Biosafety Section provides useful tools and applications to aid faculty and staff in their efforts to maintain a safe and compliant workplace. The section helps workers safely manage biological agents or substances present in or arising from the work environment that present or may present a hazard to the health or well-being of the worker, university, community, or the environment.

Accident Reporting

Accident Reporting provides information related to notifying proper university personnel of safety incidents taking place on campus. This includes procedures and documentation related to serious and non-life threatening injuries.
