First Year Inquiry

The First Year Inquiry Program (FYI) is for first year students. Each course fulfills a general education program requirement. Faculty engage students through “inquiry-guided” teaching methods. The three common student-learning outcomes are developing critical and creative thinking skills, enhancing development of intellectual maturity, and increasing student responsibility for learning. Students benefit from experiencing classes with a small faculty/student ratio.
