File an Invention Disclosure

An Invention Disclosure Form (IDF) is a written description of your invention or development submitted to the NC State Office of Research Commercialization. The IDF should list all collaborating sources of support and include all of the information necessary to begin pursuing protection, marketing, and commercialization activities.

An Innovator's Portal helps you file an invention disclosure to help the Office of Research Commercialization evaluate the research and its potential for commercialization. Create a Startup Company

The Office of Technology Commercialization and New Ventures is the hub for all NC State startups based on university intellectual property. New Ventures provides the one-stop shop for a full suite of programs, resources and partners to support the launch and growth of university startups.

Pre-Award System (PINS)

The Project Information and Navigation System (PINS) resources available include help with NIH progress reports, document upload, adding a new investigator to PINS, browser information and other tips, a restricted sponsor list, export controls pertaining to sponsors and subrecipients, and commonly-asked questions.
