If you do not find what you need online through the NCSU Libraries, request scanned articles or chapters free of charge through Tripsaver which also provides interlibrary loan of books or media or other scholarly resources.
The NCSU Libraries course reserves system provides valuable readings and other materials that support the instructional requirements of specific courses. Faculty can request to have library staff create and add physical and digital course reserves to their classes.
The NCSU Libraries empowers faculty to innovate pedagogically, enhance access for NC State students to high-quality, tailored educational materials, and reduce the financial burden of expensive textbooks. Librarians can partner with faculty members on licensing resources, using digital repositories, and creating and publishing their own open educational resources.
The D.H. Hill and Hunt Libraries have dedicated Makerspace facilities. The D.H. Hill Makerspace gives access to emerging technologies of making, while the Hunt Makerspace offers a 3-D printing service. The Makerspace supports instructors in incorporating hands-on making into courses, and teaching using VR/AR technology or experiences. Some items can be borrowed.
The NCSU Libraries offers equipment, software, workshops and in-person help for creating video, music and audio, graphics, photography, scanning and poster printing. Staff can help with planning and designing digital media assignments using equipment that can be borrowed through our technology lending service. Reservable music rooms and a green screen studio are available.
The Special Collections Research Center in the NCSU Libraries provides help with historical research and primary sources, as well as instructional services.
The University Archives, in the NCSU Libraries, collects, preserves, and makes accessible resources that document the growth and development of the university and its continued service to the people of North Carolina. It also collects materials about and docments student leadership and participation. It provides a resource for study and scholarship on the history and achievements of NC State.
The NC State Libraries provides access to print and e-books, journals, and databases which reflect the strengths of the university across disciplines. Ninety-nine percent of our journal subscriptions are electronic.

The Reflective Educational Design (RED) Core Teaching Certification (CTC) is designed to provide support and recognition for faculty members at NC State who are dedicated to reflective teaching and learning. The certification helps faculty members advance towards becoming scholarly teachers.

One-on-one consultations with individual faculty or group consultations with departments or committees help faculty explore various teaching and learning strategies and approaches. A consultation may consist of one or two meetings to discuss topics of interest or a series of meetings over the course of the semester.
