NC State Global recognizes NC State faculty and staff who have made significant contributions to the university or the world in international research, scholarship or service. Award recipients receive grants towards international travel.
The Provost’s Memorandum for University Awards Selection Process includes the due dates for submissions for the O. Max Gardner Award, Board of Governors Award for Excellence in Teaching, Alexander Quarles Holladay Medal for Excellence, Outstanding Teacher Award, Alumni Distinguished Undergraduate Professor Award and Gertrude Cox Award for Innovative Excellence in Teaching and Learning with Technology. The Outstanding Engagement Awards and the Outstanding Extension Awards are to encourage and recognize members of the faculty and EHRA staff who are nominated and selected by their respective colleges or units on campus for their outstanding contributions to extension and engagement.

University Faculty Scholars recognizes and rewards emerging academic leaders turning research into solutions to society’s most pressing issues. Each year, approximately twenty tenured or tenure-track faculty scholars receive this honor. Faculty members selected as University Faculty Scholars carry the title for the duration of their faculty appointment at NC State and receive an increase to their base salary.

Selected Scholar Awards provides information on limited-submission funding opportunities for early career professors to jump start an independent research career. Information is also available on Biomedical Scholar Awards support research in biomedical fields and are all limited.
