Occupational Safety programs address physical work in NC State facilities that requires the interaction of human-machine-environment. Physical safety programs serve to mitigate risk and exposure to unsafe practices and reduce injury.

Emergency Management and Mission Continuity helps departments develop preparedness, response and recovery plans. These plans help mitigate loss of research materials, access to buildings and impact to students/teaching in the event of an emergency.

Equal Opportunity and Equity responds to and investigates complaints of discrimination and harassment and provides discrimination and harassment prevention and response training. This includes harassment complaint resolution procedures, discrimination and harassment prevention prevention and response training, and more.

Assisting faculty by offering a direct referral system for students in distress and crisis through CARES. CARES case managers follow up with faculty to offer consultation and strategies to best support their students. Prevention staff offer faculty training focused on identifying students of concern and the appropriate referral process. In addition, Suicide Prevention, through Prevention Services, offers a tailored QPR Suicide Prevention Training available to all faculty each month.

Radiation Safety assists the campus community with radiation related programs. Staff provide training and consultations, conduct routine safety inspections in laboratories, assist researchers with the acquisition and disposal of radioactive materials and radiation-producing devices and maintains radiation emergency response capabilities.

The NC State University Police Department has reporting services available online for your convenience. Online Reporting allows you to report certain, non-emergency crimes online. You can also file Anonymous Tips if you see or hear information that you feel the Police Department would be interested in or should know about.

Duo Security adds Two-Factor Authentication to authentication services at NC State such as Shibboleth, which provides access to MyPack Portal and WolfWare. Google 2-Step adds Two-Factor Authentication for an extra layer of security for Google accounts, including Gmail and Google Drive.

Unity ID and password provide secure access to numerous university IT resources.

University Police works in partnership with the campus community to provide the most professional, effective campus safety services possible. Services provided include crime alerts, crime mapping and current events information.
