The Special Collections Research Center in the NCSU Libraries provides help with historical research and primary sources, as well as instructional services.

The University Archives, in the NCSU Libraries, collects, preserves, and makes accessible resources that document the growth and development of the university and its continued service to the people of North Carolina. It also collects materials about and docments student leadership and participation. It provides a resource for study and scholarship on the history and achievements of NC State.

NC State Global manages teams that support strategic engagement within the context of a specific geographic region. Faculty and staff may join a team to advise partnership development, the implementation of programs and initiatives and support the pursuit of funded research collaboration or academic cooperation.

The Study Abroad Office appreciates the support and encouragement that faculty provide for students considering study abroad. The Study Abroad Office offers resources and a program search to facilitate advising.

The Study Abroad Office receives international exchange students who study at NC State for a semester or academic year. The Study Abroad Office coordinates with academic departments to ensure these students have an academic advisor while studying at NC State and provides resources for international exchange student advising.

NC State major or college-specific resources and mapping major course pre-approvals for study abroad have been and continue to be developed with NC State faculty to highlight the best-fit study abroad programs for students based on academic discipline as a result of this initiative.

Since many of the systems involved do not use the contact-hour method of calculating credit in use at NC State, this should be taken as a guide rather than an absolute standard.
