The Graduate School offers a variety of professional development programs for graduate students and postdocs. Programs are available in the areas of communication, personal and professional development, leadership and management, and academic development. The Professional Development website offers descriptions of individual workshop and certificate programs and provides links to the Reporter registration system.

In March, the Graduate School and Graduate Student Association host a research symposium where more than 200 graduate students present posters about their research. Applications accepted through January.

Modeled on the “Safe Zone” program, Green Zone is designed for faculty and staff to receive training about issues potentially facing active service members, student veterans and their families.

DELTA and university partners support a wide variety of instructional systems and tools to create and deliver course content, share files and media, engage and assess students, create presentations, and access NCSU Libraries and DELTA multimedia tools. These tools can enhance learning, streamline course administration, increase engagement, and support student achievement.

The Intensive English Program offers students the opportunity to build a strong foundation in academic, cultural, and technological skills that prepare them for life in and out of the American classroom.

NC State Global manages teams that support strategic engagement within the context of a specific geographic region. Faculty and staff may join a team to advise partnership development, the implementation of programs and initiatives and support the pursuit of funded research collaboration or academic cooperation.

Since many of the systems involved do not use the contact-hour method of calculating credit in use at NC State, this should be taken as a guide rather than an absolute standard.
