Student Health Services

Student Health Services is designed to meet student health needs. Highly qualified professionals provide top quality care and assist with referrals to on and off campus resources. As a part of tuition and fees, the health fee covers routine visits to providers (physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners). Services with a charge are offered at prices competitive with the community.

Wolfpack Styled Professional Clothing Closet

The Wolfpack Styled Professional Clothing Closet is operated by the NC State Career Development Center and provides students with the professional clothing needed for an interview, a career fair, a conference, or for the first week of work. The attire is generously donated by faculty, staff, alumni, and employers to help students succeed.

Student Involvment

Student Involvement cultivates meaningful student involvement beyond the classroom at NC State. SI programs and services are designed to develop career-ready, civically engaged graduates. The department houses the DASA co-curricular transcript program, provides student organization management and event planning oversight, and directly advises Student Government and the University Activities Board.

Leadership and Civic Engagement

Leadership and Civic Engagement provides unique learning opportunities that embody the value of leadership, service, responsible citizenship, and ethics. Leadership and Civic Engagement offers opportunities such as Alternative Service Break (ASB), leadership development workshops and programs, and service initiatives focusing on local, national and global social justice issues.

Prevention Services

Assisting faculty by offering a direct referral system for students in distress and crisis through CARES. CARES case managers follow up with faculty to offer consultation and strategies to best support their students. Prevention staff offer faculty training focused on identifying students of concern and the appropriate referral process. In addition, Suicide Prevention, through Prevention Services, offers a tailored QPR Suicide Prevention Training available to all faculty each month.

3D Memos

The 3-D (Dean, Director and Department Head) communications distribute all policies and information that must reach administrators across the university. Memos often touch on areas related to faculty such as textbook adoption and providing accommodations to students with disabilities. Categories that may be of interest to faculty include Academic Affairs, Research and Sponsored Activities and Student Activities and Services.

Reporting to University Police

The NC State University Police Department has reporting services available online for your convenience. Online Reporting allows you to report certain, non-emergency crimes online. You can also file Anonymous Tips if you see or hear information that you feel the Police Department would be interested in or should know about.

Active Shooter Response Training

University Police presents this instructional video in response to violent situations that while rare, have become far too prevalent and devastating in our society. This video provides strategies for survival in the event such an incident were to take place on our campus
